DIRECTOR OF ALUMNI RELATIONS
Responsibilities
- Establish a strong relationship and lines of communication with your local alumni association, chapter alumni, Association, and advisor(s).
- Contact prominent alumni in the area that will interact with a chapter.
- Have alumni events planned far in advance designed for the alumni, not the undergraduates.
- Recognize outstanding alumni for their support and dedication to you chapter
- Set written, attainable goals for the chapter's alumni relations program and track how they are met.
- Keep alumni directories/databases current.
- Issue at least two newsletters annually which consist of 1/2 Alumni News and 1/2 Chapter News.
- Supervise an Alumni Relations Committee that develops and maintains alumni programming efforts.
- Maintain a working relationship with your university/college alumni office.
